Connect @ Keele
We have run Connect @Keele sessions for a number of years to help students transition into their new stage of life and studies at Keele. This focuses on students who are diagnosed with an autistic spectrum disorder or have enduring mental health problems. It is an overnight pre arrivals event in September for students who are planning to come to Keele imminently. Our 2020 Connect @ Keele will be slightly different due to Coronavirus and we will by holding it online. But we are still planning to offer lots of support.
Weekly Connect
Once terms starts we hold a weekly informal Connect session on a Wednesday afternoon with a disability adviser to offer support to students who have previously been support through the Connect event. This can be chatting over a box of biscuits offering mutual support or having guest speakers such as the careers service or volunteering team or having a film night! If you want to know more please email support.dds@keele.ac.uk
